In the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside, just an hour from London, The Chilterns View is a handful of dreamy, rustic cabin-style lodges, complete with south facing verandas, hot tubs, and everything you need to spend some downtime outside of the city, walking and eating well in beautiful surroundings.
Thanks to substantial glass walls and high windows, every lodge benefits from a light, airy interior, and substantial views of the countryside. Each lodge has a small but well equipped kitchenette, a wood-burning stove for maximum hygge, a double bed, and private bathroom. The aesthetic is rural-bohemian, and the lodges have real charm and character.
Each is set in its own small space for privacy, and between the firepit, the individual hammocks, the private hot tubs and the outdoor decking areas, all of the cabins have ample outside space for guests to unwind in. While away your time taking in the Oxfordshire evening, or recline with a book and a glass of wine.
I’m Rachel, and I’ve spent my whole life on farms and surrounded by nature, with the last 20 years of those having been here at Ewelme Down Farm. Despite this, I love life’s little luxuries; a bottle of bubbly, a soak in the hot tub, and a cosy fireplace are some of my favourite things.
I wanted to create somewhere that was comfy, cosy, and relaxing but still embraced the beauty of being immersed in the glorious English countryside – and so The Chilterns View was born. With each lodge set in its own secluded spot, offering uninterrupted views of the majestic Chiltern Hills, I hope that my guests will fall in love with the area as much as I did.

Check-in is from 3pm onwards, allowing staff time to prepare your tent or lodge to the highest standards. Check-out is by 10am, giving guests a leisurely morning while ensuring the accommodation is ready for the next arrivals. Early check-in or late check-out may be possible by prior arrangement and is subject to availability. These times ensure your romantic glamping break runs smoothly and stress-free.

Our 2-hour clay shooting sessions are perfect for couples, groups and celebrations, with flexible times 10am–3pm. Each guest receives PPE, instruction from APSI-qualified instructors, 50 clays, cartridges and a friendly competition. Complimentary Ewelme Sporting caps are included. Minimum age 10. Groups of 4–10, larger bookings possible when combined with other activities.
Our 1-hour archery sessions provide a fun, safe challenge for beginners and experienced participants alike. Perfect for private sessions or group events, all equipment, PPE and instruction are included. Archery can also be combined with axe throwing for a two-hour adventure. Two hour guided training walk! Amongst a group of fellow dog walkers, you will all head to the top of our farm for refreshments and to take in the incredible view before heading back down. Along the way our trainers will be on hand for practical, real-world guidance and advice!
